This corner of Silver Street is ablaze with colour and fun every year. What makes it all possible is the contribution made by many many people in the town - not only helping with the special displays... |
... but also in putting on their own displays in window boxes, hanging baskets, outside shops and businesses, and private gardens. |

An army of volunteers are involved in every aspect of 'Bampton in Bloom' - designing, planting, watering and feeding, and of course, weeding. Looking at the pictures on the rest of this site, you can see just how much time and effort has been involved in making the town look so beautiful. |
Even with all the volunteers, the cost of plants, containers, fertilizers, etc. is quite considerable, and we are indebted to the many sponsors whose contributions makes it all possible. Larger displays are sponsored by locals businesses, whereas smaller ones such as hanging baskets may be sponsored by individuals. The new bowser shown here, lovingly restored, is an example of both sponsorship and dedication - Jim and Elaine Goodwin, and Keith Pitt. You won't believe what the original trailer looked like before restoration - move your mouse over the picture to find out! |
