The Library and Resource Centre (LARC) is a charity situated in the Old School House in Bampton. LARC provides facilities for the library and a community space for public and private use.
Bampton Library is run independently from LARC by Libraries Unlimited; opening times and Library links are shown below.
LARC run open sessions on Mondays, some Wednesdays and Fridays, where anyone can drop in to use the Wi-Fi, printing/copying/laminating for a small cost, or simply relax in a warm, friendly environment. We have a selection of magazines and local press available to browse.
Information on local community groups can be found in the ‘Wellbeing’ handbook and noticeboard. Activities and events in Bampton and surrounding villages are often posted in the entrance porch. Our volunteers will be pleased to provide local information and help, so why not pop in and chat to them.
External activities at LARC are important contributors to running costs. LARC is available for hire for up to 25 people. Example current users include an art group, yoga class, book clubs, chess club and it’s an ideal space for committee meetings.
There is a disabled toilet and small kitchen, and Wi-Fi access and projection facilities. Parking in Station Road car park is very close to LARC.
