This organisation is to provide help with Bampton-based projects. We have in the past run computer training, and were instrumental in getting broadband into the town somewhat more rapidly than might have otherwise been the case.
Recently, we have raised the funding (including a generous grant from Bampton Town Council) for the purchase of a digital multimedia projector, for use by bona fide organisations in Bampton. The projector may be hired for £10 per day by such organisations in order to connect it to a computer to show digital slide shows, or to a DVD player to show moving pictures. Any enquiries concerning this should be directed to 01398-332324 giving as much notice as possible. |

In the past, we have been able to run beginners' computer courses as evening classes in the school. Demand for this has dropped to a level where it is not financially viable - but we could reactivate the courses if a sufficient number wished to be taught the same things!
The pictures below were using the old computers, but we now have access to the suite of up-to-date machines. However, with anew school being built, who knows?

An important feature of the BACON courses is that help is always on hand on an individual basis. Usually the course tutor is assisted by two voluntary 'experts' who are there to lend a hand. "Excellent introductory course". "Can we book in for more on word processing and for computer graphics?" |

Note: Did you know that there is a computer in Bampton Library which is free for you to go and use, including using Email and accessing the Internet?
