Fair Plans for this year

 

ALL THE FUN OF THE FAIR!

  • Thursday October 27th 2011 is Fair Day with over 100 street stalls, Exmoor ponies and rare breeds to view, as well as the pony sale and collective farm sale

  • Live music and entertainments all day - details here.

  • Anderton & Rowland's West Country Fun Fair

  • Craft Fair and Traditional Skills including jewllery, knitwear, pearls, clocks, driftwood crafts, Indian emboisery, framed prints, wooden artefacts, antique books, pen and ink drawings, to name but a few.

  • Traditional Skills including leatherwork, woodturning, silversmithing, patchwork, willow sculpture, beads and ceramics, and fly-fishing making.

  • Local Produce - preserves, cheeses, coffees, meats and sausages, home-made Christmas puds, bison, local cider

  • After the Fair - Free folk festival lasting right through until Sunday.

Heather and Gorse Morris Band

The Heather and Gorse Morris Band will be accompanying the procession which starts the Fair at 10am on Fair day.

They will also be getting togther with a dancing team on the Saturday.

 

Pennymoor Singaround's 'After the Fair' on the Friday, Saturday, and Sunday follows with music, song, and dance in the streets, pubs, and venues of Bampton and together with help from friends from Ireland and Brittany, there will be a distinct Anglo/Irish/Breton flavour.
