BAMPTON TOWN COUNCIL
Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held in the Albert Fowler Room of the Riverside Hall on Thursday 6 May 2008 at 7.00 p.m.
- Attendance – R Barwell, K Bristow, F Collier, C Fagg, C Hicks, T Knagg, F Stoner, P West, D Woollacott, P Colthorpe (District Councillor), R Stanley (District Councillor) and G Symons (Clerk). Cllr Bristow thanked all members of the Council for the support and enthusiasm shown since the new Council was formed in July of last year. Particular thanks were given to the Robin Barwell as Vice-Chairman and the Clerk.
- Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman for 2007/08
- Kevin Bristow whom was proposed for the new Chairman by Pauline West and seconded by Deborah Woollacott and Robin Barwell accepted the position and took the Chair.
- Robin Barwell whom was proposed for the new Vice-Chairman by Deborah Woollacott and seconded by Pauline West accepted the position.
- A declaration of acceptance was signed by both parties.
- Election of Councillors to committees
The following appointments were agreed by all,
- Allotments D Woollacott, P West.
- Bampton Fair Working Group F Collier, K Bristow, R Barwell, T Knagg, C Fagg.
- Bampton in Bloom C Hicks, P West, R Barwell.
- Car park and toilets K Bristow, R Barwell.
- District Police Committee T Knagg, R Barwell.
- Motte and Bailey C Hicks, C Fagg, F Stoner, J Hill,
- Parish Paths Partnership F Stoner, C & J Fagg.
- Play & Recreation grounds K Bristow, F Collier, D Woolacott, P West.
- Riverside Hall Committee C Hicks, T Knagg, F Stoner.
- BTC owned Public seats F Collier, K Bristow.
- Tiv & District Transport Assoc F Stoner.
- Twinning T Knagg.
- Christmas decorations D Woollacott & All.

Minutes of the Annual General Meeting held in the Albert Fowler Room of the Public Hall on Thursday 12 July 2007 at 7.00 p.m.
- Attendance – R Barwell, K Bristow, F Collier, C Fagg, C Hicks, T Knagg, F Stoner, P West, D Woollacott, P Colthorpe (District Councillor), R Stanley (District Councillor) and G Symons (Clerk). It was confirmed that all Councillors had now signed a “Declaration of acceptance of office of Councillor” that had either been sent direct to MDDC of given to the Clerk.
- Election of Chairman and Vice Chairman for 2007/08
- Nominations for the new Chairman were received – Cllr Barwell was proposed by Cllr Hicks and seconded by Cllr West and Cllr Bristow and was proposed by Cllr Woollacott and seconded by Cllr Barwell. Cllr Bristow was willing to stand, was elected by a ballot vote and took the Chair for the remainder of the meeting.
- Nominations for Vice-Chairman were requested – Cllr Barwell was proposed by Cllr Hicks and seconded by Cllr Knagg and Cllr Woolacott was proposed by Cllr Bristow. Cllr Barwell was willing to stand and was elected by a ballot vote.
- A form of acceptance of office was signed by Cllr Bristow and Cllr Barwell.
