Entry classes in this year’s local competition are listed below. Each household may enter two different classes – classes 7 and 9 can be entered in addition. Entry is free.
Judging Date is Thursday July 14 th.

The Judges will be looking for a variety of planting, good layout, and all-the-year-round colour. |

For gardens where summer bedding dominates. A variety of plants, colours, heights. |

Front of Premises |
For private houses with little or no front garden, where pots and containers are attached or adjacent to the building. |

A paved or hard surface where most of the plants are grown in containers. |

Kitchen Garden/ Allotment |
A variety of fruit and vegetables. |

Business Premises |
The best overall effect on the day. |

Young Gardeners’ Entry (under 16) |
Gardening can be in pots, containers, or a small specific garden area. Each child in the household may enter, or a group of children may be treated as an individual entry. |

Window box, tub, or planter |
Single window box, tub, or planter – must be home planted. |
11 |
Hanging Basket |
Single basket – must be home planted. |
12 |
Themed Area |
No larger than 10ft/ 3m square. Judges will look for originality and impact. |
