"The gardens of the South West are amongst the finest in the world and the sheer range of habitats, from windswept moorland with a flora not dissimilar to the Tundra, to the sub topical valley gardens of southern Cornwall, make this region able to boast that we play host to the widest range of plants on Earth (fact).
With this palette to choose from, South West in Bloom should be able to serve up a floristic feast beyond compare. The challenge is to push the boundaries of what the compositions are about. Should it be more than beauty? Should they reflect the vital role of plants in our lives? Or should they simply provide champagne in the veins, exuberance that reminds us all that it is good to be alive. All of them I say!
