There are over 20 images in this slide show, reflecting the range and character of the gardens which were open. If you have not yet got broadband, be patient! - it takes a while for the images to load.
The gardens were very varied - four had not been open to the public before. Many of the gardens had water features including large koy carp and hillside streams. Visitors were impressed by the 'secret' nature of the locations in the town: behind walls and normally closed gates there were real treasures. Teas and plant sales were available in one garden.
