The Refurbished Playground

New Playground opened 2nd July 2011

The refurbished playground in Station Road was officially opened by Rector Lynne Burgon on 2nd July 2011. On the left is Les Hartley, Chairman of Bampton Town Council. Not only did the council manage to raise the required funding but also many put in a lot of hours work to bring the project to fruition. It has already proved to be very popular with the customers - and the mums and dads!

Alongside the opening of the playground, in the car park was "Have Your Say" when residents could chat to the firemen about saftey (and play on the fire engine!), talk to the police and have articles security engraved, chat to Devon Youth Service (although most teenagers appeared to have stayed in bed...) or talk to Age Concern or Environmental Health Support.
