Exe Valey WayBampton: On the Exe Valley Way

The town of Bampton lies on the long distance path, the Exe Valley Way.

The path runs for a total length of 52 miles from the Exe estuary in the south, with very wide ranging scenery, from the open marshland near the sea, through rural farmland, up wooded valleys, and finally up to the moorlands of Exmoor in the north which is where the source of the river lies.
