The Old House Cottage

Self catering

Attached to The Old House but with separate access, The Old House Cottage sits in a lovely garden with a stream and small natural copse just five minutes walk from the centre of Bampton.

Suitable for two adults and a small non-crawling baby, well behaved, fully house-trained dogs are welcome if kept on a lead when outside. No smoking indoors please.

Inside it combines the best of the old and the new. Downstairs is an open plan living area, with inglenook fireplace and wood-burning stove, and modern kitchen with convenient work surfaces and appliances.

Outside the cottage has its own patio and lawn areas, although guests are free to use any other part of the gardens.

Upstairs is a large bedroom with windows on two sides and great views over Bampton and the surrounding countryside. The bed is zip-and-link and can be used as a large double or two singles.

Country cottage accommodation in rural mid-Devon. We provide one luxury double en-suite room and one twin-room with private bathroom in this former c.18th century stables. All guests can be assured of our undivided attention.

Facilities include en-suite power shower room and toilet, flat screen TV's in both rooms with DVD and Freeview, hospitality tray and mini fridge, a wide choice of breakfasts, and use of the downstairs lounge with wood-burner.

The village inn which serves good meals is close to the cottage. Bampton is just a few miles from Staple Cross via typical Devon lanes.

Venford Cottage Self-Catering

Venford cottage is a stone built exmoor cottage in Exmoor National Park about 9 miles from Bampton and five miles from Dulverton. It has 3 bedrooms and sleeps 5. Downstairs there is a large shower room with shower, toilet and washbasin, a fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, washing machine, fridge, freezer, cooker and microwave, a dining room with a table seating six, a sitting room with a woodburning stove and DTV/DVD.

Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms, a double with kingsized bed, a twin, a single, a bathroom with bath, washbasin and toilet. There is a front and side garden.
